Your First GMT Build
Building a GMT is the natural step up from a three-hander. Here is the complete parts approach.
The Parts List
- Movement: NH34 — the only NH-family GMT (see our pairing guide)
- Dial: GMT-specific with ~2.7mm center hole and 24-hour scale
- GMT hand: fourth-hand, NH34-specific (see GMT hand)
- Standard hour/minute/second hands: shared across NH family
- Bezel: 24-hour or dual-time insert
- Case: accepting NH34 stack height — e.g. our 40mm bidirectional GMT case
Assembly Differences
- Press the GMT hand first (lowest), then hour, minute, second
- Set GMT via crown position 1 independently of local time
- Verify 24-hour hand tracks correctly through a full day cycle
See our hand stack guide for the four-layer order.
