Omega Returns to Its Roots with a Revamped Speedmaster 38mm Lineup
Omega has officially launched a refreshed Speedmaster 38mm collection, bringing the compact, automatic chronograph closer to the legendary Moonwatch than ever before. The star of the show is a new no-date, steel-on-steel black dial version that channels the spirit of the original "Speedmaster Reduced" from 1988.
The Moonwatch Connection
According to Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of Omega, "The Speedmaster 38mm has always taken its cues from the Moonwatch. With this latest update, we've taken the Moonwatch inspiration even further." The new no-date reference 324.30.38.50.01.002 features a matte black dial, printed Super-LumiNova hour markers, white painted hands, and classic round sub-dials—all directly inspired by the iconic Moonwatch Professional.
The asymmetrical case with lyre-shaped twisted lugs, a box-shaped sapphire crystal, and a classic aluminium tachymeter bezel complete the vintage-inspired aesthetic. Notably, water resistance has been improved to 100m compared to the Moonwatch's 50m.

Six Additional Date Versions
Alongside the no-date model, Omega has introduced six date-equipped versions featuring the Calibre 3330. Options range from steel-on-steel with grey or blue bezels to two-tone Moonshine Gold and Sedna Gold editions, plus two diamond-bezel models with ice blue and mother-of-pearl dials. Prices range from EUR 6,600 to EUR 12,900.
