Does AR coating scratch off?
Inner coatings are protected forever. Outer coatings micro-wear slowly; it shows as smudge-prone patches, not flakes.

Is a double dome actually thinner?
No — often taller. It looks slimmer because the underside dome hugs the dial. Judge by millimeters in the case spec.

My "blue tint" looks like a defect.
