Hands Sets and Crowns: The Small Parts Buying Guide
Small Parts, Big Difference
Hands and crowns are the smallest parts in any build — and the ones builders most often order wrong. This guide covers every hands and crown product we stock so your next order is right the first time.
Hands Sets for NH35
The standard choice for three-hand builds:
- Hands Set for NH35 Movement — hour, minute, second matched in finish and lume color
- Benz Hands Set for NH35 Movement — the automotive-inspired benz silhouette for sportier builds
Both sets are sized for standard NH35 post heights. Need a refresher on pressing technique? See our hand-changing guide.
GMT Hand for NH34
The GMT Hand for NH34 Movement is the fourth-hand piece sold separately — essential when your chosen GMT dial ships without a matching hand. Match its lume tone to your existing three-hand set.
Individual Second Hands
Lost or bent just the sweep hand? The Second Hand for NH35 Movement replaces it without buying a full set — also useful for adding one accent color to an otherwise classic build (the carbon fiber models use exactly this trick).
Crowns
The Replacement Crown covers stripped threads, lost crowns and upgrades. Crown work notes:
- Screw-down crowns need correct gasket seating to keep water resistance — replace the gasket whenever you open the stem tube
- If the crown spins but does not set time, the issue is the stem, not the crown itself

Can I mix brands of hands?
Mixing risks mismatched lume tones. Our sets are color-matched within each listing.
Do hands include lume?
Yes — all our handsets carry luminous material matched to their dial counterparts.
