Most modding disappointments come from ordering incompatible parts. Run this checklist before you spend a dollar.

The Checklist

1. Movement chosen? — NH35 (date), NH36 (day-date), NH38 (no-date), NH34 (GMT). See our movement guide
2. Case dial opening known? — 28.5mm, 29.5mm or 30mm. See our dial sizes guide
3. Date position confirmed? — 3H, 4H or special-order 6H
4. Hands height matched? — standard/high/low to suit your dial. See our hand stack guide
5. Bezel insert sized? — outer AND inner diameter. See our insert sizing guide
6. Crystal diameter and shape? — plus gasket. See our crystal press guide

One Rule Above All

Buy the case first, then everything else to match it. The case is the least flexible component — dials, inserts, crystals and crowns all adapt to it.
