The Sequence

1. Open the case and remove the movement per standard procedure
2. Release the old stem: locate the release button near the stem entry on the movement, press it while pulling the crown/stem free
3. Test-fit the new stem into the movement — engagement should feel positive
4. Cut to length if needed: measure against the old stem; cut slightly long, test, trim gradually
5. Screw crown onto stem (threaded type) after confirming length
6. Reinsert: press the release button again while inserting stem until it clicks home
7. Test all positions — winding, date, time setting must all work smoothly
